I wonder how many of you thought I was referring to this blog post when you saw the title. Believe me, I’m not so narcissistic, it’s simple wordplay. However, I do hope my posts bring some entertainment and encouragement to those who read them. Speaking of reading, I’m curious to know if any of you are bookworms like me.
Reading is the greatest source of adventure for me right now. Sure, I would love to travel and see different parts of the world and I believe that soon, I will. Until then, and for the rest of my years, books will be my tour guide to different worlds. It’s remarkable to get a peek inside the minds of other writers. The novels they create make you feel as though you’re a part of them. Then, of course, you have writers like J. R. R. Tolkien who not only created a magnificent story but a language to go along with it! That fact amazes me every time!

Whatever world you get pulled into, a good book will cause you to never want to leave. I know that’s how it is for me. Books have a way of providing the perfect escape from day-to-day struggles, albeit temporary. Still, when the day is done and it leaves you feeling strained, there’s something special about diving into a story to relieve that, even a little bit.
Though, if the story is a little too good, I would not recommend reading it before bed during the week. What started out as a couple of chapters will turn into your alarm going off the next morning and you suddenly have to get ready for work. Yes, I have been there…and I regret nothing. Do you have a series you’re invested in right now? Share what you’re reading with me! I’m rebuilding my library and I need some suggestions!
