So much information is placed in front of us every day. We constantly have instant news about our country, other countries, and Susan in Connecticut whom you’ve never even met before, thrown at us twenty-four/seven. It is, without a doubt, overwhelming. It’s severely heavy on our minds that it inadvertently leaks into different areas of our lives.
With a plethora of immediate information, it can lead us to think that other things should be the same. Things like success in our careers and businesses, mastery of new skills, or even lasting trust and connectivity in relationships all have something in common. It’s the fact that they are not instant. Each requires a solid foundation to build on and anything that is built takes time.

So what exactly are you trying to say, Debs? Well, to put it simply, it’s ok to take your time. I know, easier said than done, right? After all, plenty of luxuries is available at the touch of a button! What need is there to take our time? Maybe it’s just me, but I believe the most beautiful parts of something surface when they’re developed over time. The world we live in is a prime example. Now, of course, we’re not majestic mountains or vast oceans or tropical islands. However, we’re still works of art, and we’re capable of creating amazing things.
All in good time. I’m sure you’ve heard that a lot, right? It has a grain of truth, though. It may not feel like it or look like it, but we do have all the time we need to accomplish the things we want. So relax, and slow down. You’ll get there when you’re meant to. Keep working hard, yes, but don’t burn yourself out when the journey has just begun. You’ll get there, you’ll see.
