My Spontaneous San Antonio Trip

I remembered a couple of weeks back, I randomly decided I wanted to take myself on a day trip to somewhere close by. The spot I chose was San Antonio, the city notorious for its’ river walk. Ok, technically it’s not exactly close by, it is in fact quite a drive. Still, it’s close enough to where I could spend a decent amount of time there and make it home before the day is over.
It may sound pretty cliché, but I’m amazed by the sights of San Antonio whenever I go there. The structure of the city is something I marvel at every time. Even though time has advanced just like everywhere else, you can still see some beautiful remnants of the past. I have to admit, I was extremely glad I decided to go.

The week prior left me drained and feeling overwhelmed. I knew I needed a different environment to help my mind wind down. Needless to say, I was very satisfied with my choice. I even bought two charming necklaces! They have flowers inside them that were grown in another city in Texas, I absolutely adore them!
Despite the fact that I didn’t really do much, I enjoyed myself tremendously. A factor that I believe made the trip even more wonderful is that it wasn’t planned. Don’t get me wrong, I am a firm advocate for planning! Plans are a necessity and aid us in staying organized and getting things done. Just so, there’s nothing wrong with a little spontaneity in life. I dare say that’s a necessity as well.
We can get so caught up in our plans and daily routines that we forget to fully drink in everything around us. Hey, life is meant to be enjoyed and I for one feel another spontaneous trip is in order. I even have the target spot in mind—Fredericksburg! It’s my wish that in the midst of all your plans, you leave a little room for some spontaneity.
