The Infamous Friday

First of all, let me just start off by stating that I am not particularly fond of scary movies. There, I said it, please don’t hate me! Don’t get me wrong, I don’t necessarily hate them or anything, I just know myself very well. Slashers, thrillers, and horror movies are merely not my cup of tea. I’m quite susceptible to nightmares, you see, which is bad news for someone who loves her sleep. So, to avoid said nightmares, I tend to stay away from motion pictures in those genres.

On the other hand, I do think I may have changed slightly over the years. I’m not entirely sure how I did it, but I managed to make it through the movies inspired by Stephen King’s It. Surprisingly, I willingly watched both films! Maybe it was something I ate that day. Even so, that was the extent of my adventures into the world of horror, I’m sure it won’t happen again.

By the way, I have to give props to the actors who portrayed the villains in movies like It, Friday the 13th, and many others. I may not be a fan, but even I have to admit they did a phenomenal job bringing those characters to life. Friday the 13th is especially beloved that people have a marathon of the movies whenever the date comes around. I believe the camp that the first movie was filmed at is even open to visitors on this day.

Who knows? Maybe I’ll try to dip my foot into the thriller genre pool one more time. Ha! Just kidding, that is definitely not happening! Still, I think I’ll consider rewatching the previous seasons of Stranger Things. The final season will be out soon after all. Whichever way you choose to spend the day this Friday, be safe and have fun!
