Apart from my obvious obsession with coffee, tea is another drink that I highly favor. It’s the perfect companion when you’re indulging in a good book, but of course, you don’t have to be reading in order to savor a cup. Part of the charm of tea, I believe, is the diversity of flavors as well as the additions that can tailor the drink to one’s preferences.

One of the kinds of tea I want to dive a bit into with this random thoughts session is Jasmine. To be more accurate, green tea leaves are usually the base for this type of tea. The traditional (and more appropriate) way of crafting this blend is to scent the leaves with the petals from the flower. It’s a long process but the results are satisfying!
When it is prepared correctly, it’s sweet with a floral aroma which is something I actually didn’t know before! Personally, I prefer a sweet taste when drinking tea, so I’m mentally kicking my past self in the shin for not taking delight in this tea more. Oh well, better late than never! In addition to it dazzling the taste buds, Jasmine tea does come with a few benefits as well. For one, it contains a high amount of antioxidants and thus aids to improve skin, heart, and even brain health. It is also recommended to help boost energy and concentration.

I revert back to my previous statement of kicking my past self in the shin, I undoubtedly need assistance with energy! I think it’s past time that I start incorporating this tea into my everyday life. Something else I was unaware of is how popular jasmine green tea is, it’s one of the blends most enjoyed by people all over the world. Well, needless to say, I will gladly choose to follow suit. After all, I should live up to my title as a self-proclaimed tea lover!
