What Are We Watching?

There isn’t much that people, in general, can come to an agreement on, but I am convinced that collectively, we all appreciate a good movie! I daresay that everyone even has a favorite that they always return to and can watch repeatedly, never getting tired of it.

That’s how it is for me and the movie McLintock. Aside from the great casting, I think part of what makes this movie my favorite is that it goes slightly outside of the borderlines of what we usually see in Western films. Not to mention it has nonstop laughs and wholesome lessons here and there! There are certain films that simply resonate with us more than others.

By the way, here’s a fun tip about films. The very first one ever made was called The Horse in Motion (click on the link to see the film, it’s short but interesting!) by Eadweard Muybridge in 1878. One of my goals is to write television and film scripts so I’m always interested to learn about the progression of filmmaking. Needless to say, the entertainment industry has certainly come a long way! With the introduction of computer-generated imagery, motion pictures have gone to a completely new level!

What are some movies you’re most looking forward to this year? The list gets pretty long for me, but one that is on my list is Jurassic World Dominion. I admit I was really impressed with the first two, and, of course, I absolutely loved the original Jurassic Park movies. They were one of the many franchises that made my childhood awesome! What’s even better is that some of the main cast from those films are making an appearance in this latest development. I’m very excited to see how it will turn out!
